I picked the Zuma up from the shop, after they finished putting on a set of CONTINENTAL TIRES! (Dinner with Racers fans read that in Ryan Eversley’s voice ... Non DWR fans, you are missing out!). Unfortunately I only got a brief test ride in before the rain came, but oh man are they better than the rock hard and weirdly worn original tires!

The rain then went away for a while, and after the girls went to bed, I rode my buddy’s Helix out to meet a potential buyer (I’m selling it on his behalf, as he has proven completely useless at selling things). The buyer made a very fair offer, which I accepted ... But he didn’t have the money on him. So we went to the bank, where he withdrew $500 out of the ATM and gave it to me, to hold it to the bike until he can give me the rest of the money tomorrow.

I think I should have a chat with the guy after we complete the sale, because he’s lucky that I’m honest. If I wasn’t, I could just delete my FB profile and keep his $500. There was no receipt, no paperwork, no nothing. We met at a 7-11.

Not long after I got home from that, it poured rain again. I sat on the porch with my wife and we had some drinks and listened to the radio.

It was a pretty dang good day!

What's up with the camper in the background? I seem to recall reading something about that a while back.... Needed a deep clean or something?

My scooter keeps dying at low RPMs. I had to keep revs at 4k or above on my ride home last night, and still killed it three times. Sigh. At least when a little moped breaks, it just turns into a heavy push scooter! I’m going to get it looked at by a shop, and if the Verdict isn’t too bad, probably swap out these old knobby tires for something that will net me some more top speed and gas tank range.

Starred simply for CONTINENTAL tires.

(Cool scooter as well though)

Thanks!

I knew that even if nobody else got the reference, at least you would. Every time I look at that scooter, I am compelled to say CONTINENTAL TIRES!

The buddy that I'm selling the Helix for, is a big DWR fan as well. He just put a set of CONTINENTAL TIRES on his Taurus.

I bought the camper in September last year. It was an end of season/we’re getting divorced deal. It needed a lot of little things done to it, but the interior is immaculate. Unfortunately the cover I bought is just a liiiiitle too short to cover the trunk area, but at least the main body is covered. I took care of mo st of the needed things already. I need to drop it off at the trailer shop next to have them check the bearings/brakes/tires, and fix the janky wiring harness.

The scoot shouldn't be too bad to fix. I am so glad I got the knobby tires off of my Zuma. Continental tires is offering three years of flat tire towing coverage, with the purchase of any motorcycle or scooter tires.
